How It Works

Three simple steps stand between you and 30 days of full Clinic access. Most applications are reviewed within 5 business days.

Serve

Complete at least 2 hours of community service that benefits kids or people in need. Volunteer with an organization, mentor a student, serve a meal, do the work that lifts somebody up.

Verify

Send us the basics on the application form: where you served, when, how many hours, and a supervisor or contact name who can vouch for it. A short written note from them is enough.

Get Access

Once approved, you get 30 days of full website access plus free Discord access. Same email on both so the systems sync. Read, learn, and join the community. Your subscription continues for $5/month or you can cancel and reapply.

What Counts as Service

Any volunteer work that benefits kids or people in need qualifies. Below are common examples but the list isn't exhaustive. If you're not sure, apply anyway and let us decide.

What to Send

Just the Basics

  • The organization where you served
  • The date and total hours completed
  • A supervisor or contact name who can verify
  • A short written note from them is enough emailed to scholar@theinvestingclinic.com
Keep Yourself Safe

Never Send

  • Private financial documents
  • School IDs or student ID numbers
  • Social Security or government ID numbers
  • Medical records or health details

We don't need any of this to verify your service. If a form ever asks for it, something is wrong. Reach out to us instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does approval take?
Most applications are reviewed within 5 business days. We'll email you the decision either way. Make sure the email you use on the application is one you actually check.
Can I count service hours I already completed?
Yes. As long as you can verify the service with an organization and contact name, prior hours qualify. Try to keep them within the past 3 months so the verification is fresh.
What if my organization can't provide a written verification?
Most can do something simple: an email, a signed note, or even a confirmation from a supervisor's work email. If you're truly stuck, reach out and we'll talk through it. We'd rather help than reject.
Can I renew or extend my 30 days?
Yes. After your 30 days end, you can re-apply with new service hours from a different time period. We don't cap how many times you can do this. Keep serving and we'll keep the door open.
What if I want to become a paying member later?
Easy. You can sign up for paid membership at any time, including during your scholarship period. We'll just transition your account when you're ready.
Why do you require the same email on Ghost and Discord?
Our access sync uses email matching. When the emails are different, Discord can't recognize you as a scholarship member and you'll lose the community access. Use the same email on both and you're set.
Is this scholarship really free?
Yes. Real cost is zero. No card on file. No auto-renewal. When 30 days end, access ends until you re-apply or sign up for paid membership. Service is your tuition.
